I accidentally several gigabytes
Did you notice the Sun shining just a little brighter today?!

That's because our office just joined the rest of the world (albeit about 10 years late) and installed a real, honest-to-god Exchange server! Seven years of syncing hell are over!

Yes, this bitch is running Outlook. No more GroupWise hell... no more Lotus Domino.

I think I've come up with a means of transferring my local GroupWise archive into something usable like a .pst file too. It totally works in my head. Well, if I don't manage to bring down the old GroupWise server in the process.

In hindsight, I should've done this in stages. I'm really hoping no one from IT comes running down the hall to my office carrying the charred remains of an email server asking me, "What did you do?!"

I remember Groupwise. I put in an Exchange server last year. Nice not to chase down email files. I'm not even sure what cheap ass email server we were using, but not chasing down random pst files stored in 50 zillion different places is nice. OWA is useful too.

I do have to admit I did like that aspect of Groupwise

Good luck! I often begin sentences with "in retrospect" when I'm working, and it usually means I've bitten off more than I should chew.
