This election seriously has me emotionally drained.

From Prop 8 to the presidential election...

I feel good that McCain will be defeated soundly. Still really worried about prop 8.

Oh, and to the Mormon Church: Fuck you, you hypocrites.

Mood: anxious

Same with me. I'll just be glad when it's over.

They are staging yes on 8 rallies in front of their monstrosity of a church in Los Angeles, even going so far as to hire skywriters.

and... they're basically the majority of all funding for the initiative.

Out of State Mormons Just Gave $3 Million More to End Gay Marriage
New Mormon Total = $22 Million!!!

LOS ANGELES, CA – With days to go before the second most watched election in the nation, the really big Mormon money has been pouring in from Utah, Idaho, Nevada and Arizona like never before.

Led by Alan Ashton of Lindon, Utah who gave $1,000,000 on October 29th, the Mormon Power Grab by funding 77% of the Yes on Prop. 8 campaign has gone off the charts. Ashton is a Mormon and grandson of David O. McKay, President of the Mormon Church from 1951-1970. He made his fortune in software.

The new Mormon money total contributed to pass California's Proposition 8 is now a staggering $22 million dollars!

oh holy fruck.

77% of all Yes on 8 funding?! That's insane! What do they think, Californians will sneak over there and elope with their cute crewcut sons?

(oh wait, there was a movie about that...)

I agree. If we defeat their efforts tomorrow, I sincerely would love for us to devote our time to destroying their tax free exempt status.

I will take no greater pleasure than giving them a taste of their own medicine.

Out of all races, Prop 8 is the one that has me worried the most.

Same; I haven't slept enough in the last few days and I'll likely get little sleep tonight (I'm trying to get to the polls at 7). Our Senate race has me worried too, and of course there's y'all's Prop 8 and our governor's race, and and and. :x

I was hoping to strike a bargain with the Mormon's: You let us marry whoever we want, we let you marry as many people as you long as they are not 14.
