Meat Service  
We went to Fogo de Chão for lunch today. I've actually never been, but it's an all-you-can-eat Brazilian restaurant.

When the cute server came to our table, he explained that we could help ourselves to the salad bar, and at any time we were ready for "meat service" to just turn our coasters over.

Well, I wasn't sure what he meant by "meat service", but of the 4 or 5 things running through my mind, none of them was bad. Turns out, meat service is where they come by with skewers of filet, lamb, sirloin, pork, and the gods know what else and slice off a bit for your plate. It's like Dim Sum Brazilian-style. Before I managed to get my coaster turned back to red, I had a plate full of marinated cow and lamb.

The food was pretty tasty, but now I'm in the food comas to end all food comas. I can't brain anymore. I seriously think that was the most red meat I've ever had in one sitting in my life, and I don't think I want to abuse my body like that again anytime soon. In fact, I really don't want to see anything but vegetables for the rest of the weekend. Now, Go Go Gadget Metabolism so I can wake up. Must drive soon.

We have Fogo (and a large number of clones that are nowhere near as good) here too...I've eaten there quite a few times and every single time I completely cease to function for the rest of the day. :p

There was once a big dumb straight waiter at the Red Robin near me, who would always ask "How do you take your meat?" whenever someone ordered a burger.

He wasn't that cute, but for the lulz he was fine. We got him maybe 3 times, before he either transferred out or we got sick of Red Robin (as it was we only went once or twice a month).

Someone would always be mid-sip when he asked, and it was all we could do to not respond with "as thick as you can get it - and raw".

Ha, it's called a Churascurria, I probably didn't spell that right, but yes, I've been to a restaurant like that here in NY and just about died afterwards, I thought I was going to have a heartattack right on the spot. It was good though

Mmm. Steak. Now I want a steak. I can't remember the last time, though.

Nearly the subject- On the Steve Dahl radio show here, he has 'Meat Talk' on Thursdays with Chef Hans from Smith and Wollensky. They give answers to all those important questions about meat.
