SF again

So I'm in SF again. I got in a phat dinner at the Slanted Door. The food there is amazing, although a bit surprised that weI got a reservation on such short notice.

Later though, had a boring night at the clubs. The Cafe is closed for some odd reason, so went between the Badlands and the Bar on Castro. It was a little early (before 11:30). Sadly I think I spent as much time on the Muni as in the clubs. I really just couldn't find enough to do! While I've never had a prob going to a club alone, really do need something to do while there. Sadly, neither the Badlands nor the Bar on Castro offers enough to to override the inability to use any single armor in club/bar venues. The clubs are too small to walk around for any length of time without just ending up back at the same place every 60 seconds!

Anyway, we'll try another night... maybe after I've had a chance to look up ppl I know here. As for me, I must be downstairs in the lobby by 8:45, which means I must get to bed soon, which means I must take a sleeping aid. My ass doesn't fall asleep before 2 am naturally!

Apropos of nothing, the words to this song are pretty amazing when you consider one of the singers of the group came out sometime after this song made it to the charts.

No matter what they tell us
No matter what they do
No matter what they teach us
What we believe is true

No matter what they call us
However they attack
No matter where they take us
We'll find our own way back

I can't deny what I believe
I can't be what I'm not
I know my love forever
I know, no matter what
....
If only prayers were answered
Then we would hear God say
No matter what they tell you
No matter what they do
No matter what they teach you
What you believe is true
