Lotus Notes, how I loathe thee
I am now trying out Outlook 2003 with the Lotus Domino connector at work so that (so far so good) I do not have to use the Lotus Notes client.

If you've ever suffered the indignity of using Lotus Notes, you can understand how happy I am right now.

The clouds even look a little bluer and the tree outside my window much greener. I swear just a moment ago, I heard the sweet sound of birds chirping.

Dear God, show me how. Please bring me into that world, and tell me that it doesn't require installing anything on a work computer.

(I share a computer with a total technophobe who calls IT for EVERYTHING.)

BTW -- exactly WHAT am I supposed to do with that damned Lotus desktop thing, anyway? (I seriously don't get it -- it has tabs, but I don't know what the hell those tabs are for.)

Well, you have to of course install Outlook 2003.

The last connector was very buggy, but this one seems to be behaving itself.

You can find it from Microsoft here

I'll have to see if I can do that on the other computer I share.

Thank you immensely -- I think I hear those birds chirping as well.

(BTW, hello, I don't know if I've ever introduced myself. ;-))

I have rarely heard of people being happy to use Outlook, except for those coming from Lotus Notes. I have had to use that darned thing at a previous gig and it was just horrible, I reduced myself to writing everything down and having someone else suffer Lotus Notes hell. Glad you found a way around it.
