Please discontinue any unnecessary breathing
From the South Coast AQMD:

The forecast for tomorrow predicts a health advisory episode with a maximum AQI reading of 151 for the pollutant particulate matter. During a health advisory episode, the air quality is unhealthful [and coffee is hot]. Everyone, including healthy adults and children [and healthy adults who act like children], should avoid prolonged, vigorous outdoor activities. Susceptible persons, especially those with lung or heart disease, should avoid outdoor activities [and breathing in general].

Be well. I have a nephew who goes to Harvey Mudd as well as I don't know how many LJ friends living in that area. You are all in my thoughts. I hope you are not terribly affected by these fires.

Thanks. Fortunately for me, the air quality and allergies from the Santa Anas are the worst I usually have to deal with. People who live in the hills have to worry more. The basin where I am is densely populated so there isn't that mush brush around to catch. I mostly have to worry about gay bars going up in flames.

OMG.

I'm leaving Sunday morning for two and a half weeks in CA (first leg: LA, middle leg: the coast, last leg: SF) and it seems I have yet again chosen the absolute worst time to visit someplace. This is my first visit to the west coast since 1988 (!)

Well, I would hope they're all out by Sunday.

California should just fall into the ocean and get it over with quickly. The current lingering misery method is not fun; except when watching the lower classes die.
