Round trip
Anyone have experience with using a foreign ccTLD with U.S. domestic name servers and foreign hosts?

If so, any noticeable lag for users across the pond?

Why would you be using a domestic name server if the hosting is not domestic?

And I don't see why the TLD would matter, but still: you're not going to have one of those annoying .TV sites, are you? LOL

No, it's actually for a foreign division, so requests and hosting will be overseas. Our name servers are, however, located here in the States on either coast.

We prefer to maintain control of the zone records here if it won't cause any noticeable problems. If it does, I have a fallback plan, but this one would be cheaper. :)

...and our annoying .tv domains are all here (mostly for tm protection though).
