Goodbye, Panda - Hello, Pocky G
Yesterday in a sugar fit at Mitsuwa at lunch, I stocked up on several flavors of Pocky (including the new dark chocolate "Pocky G"); many, many Yan Yans; Chocolate Hello Pandas; Strawberry fishies covered with milk chocolate; and these random wafer thingies.

But then things went horribly wrong. Somewhere between my leaving the office around 6:30 pm and arriving the next morning around 9:30 am, someone had kidnapped my Hello Pandas!

M I S S I N G

Taken by force from their home somewhere between the evening of May 5, and the morning of May 6.

If found, please contact the Santa Monica Police Department.

I blame myself. I should have hid them in a drawer or locked my office door. I'm going to have to find an old webcam and set up a trap for their captors.

Their chocolatey goodness shall be missed.

:sigh:

I only got to try a few of them before they were stolen. I'm going to have to go buy more and set a trap for the dirty thief.

I'm a big Pocky fan but have never dabbled into Pocky's G spot... it looks an awful lot like "mens' pocky".

I never tried the Men's Pocky, but the packaging does look very familiar, and the Men's Pocky was oddly missing from the shelf.

Someone stole the Pandas :-o!?

Hey, I'm the one who recommended Hello Panda to you :-)!

What kind of prices are you getting?

I think they were like 2-3 bones. The fishies are better anyway.

But I left my strawberry Pocky out on my desk this time. I do believe I had more sticks in there when I left. I can't believe I'm going to have to start locking my office.

I think there must be some sort of genetic disorder that makes people think it's okay to take other's food at the office.

Bones? How 1990s ;-).

Two or three dollars!? Should be a dollar. Those Asians are ripping you off!

As they should be ;-).

Oh, just spit in all of your open packages and then make an announcement to the office after a couple hours.

Oh, I'm sure. Mitsuwa is hella overpriced, but unless I go downtown to China Town, you gotta pay out the yin yang.

Their mochi is like $1-2 more a pack than Trader Joe's too.

Yeah, I wish someone would just fess up. I'd feel better if someone just said, "sorry, I was really hungry." I thought maybe the housekeeping staff, but I'm thinking maybe someone's kid might have just been running around and took them. I hope so. At least kids don't know any better.

I'll need to get some of that invisible ink that glows in blacklight.

The thief must be destroyed.

I just need to find an old webcam and some software that snaps photos upon detecting motion.

Vengence will be MINE!

Sad Panda
My friend went to Japan and brought soo much of that wonderful goodness back. Now her friend is stationed in AZ, I miss the chocolate and cracker goodness of them all. I have found them at a local Wegmans in the International Food section, but being in a non cultured area we miss out on being able to find them with ease and have them be affordable.
